Cheryl Cole has spoken for the first time about the dramatic dress she wore to the Cannes Film Festival this weekend, designed by couturier Stéphane Rolland.

“The first time I saw the dress it made me take a gasp of air,” Cole told us this morning. “I thought it was so beautiful and I loved that it was so chic, yet dramatic. I feel extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to wear it. It was like a work of art and surprisingly comfortable to wear.”

Rolland who has dressed the Vogue cover girl several times before, as well as stars including Beyoncé Knowles and Rihanna was equally enamoured with the sight of Cole in the dress.

“Cheryl Cole always pulls it off,” he said. “She has never looked anything short of immaculate. For this year’s appearance at Cannes, I chose a glorious gown with a feathered tail to emphasise her silhouette. Like an exotic bird, feathers would swish with every step. Cheryl is a delight to dress, and to my team and me, she’s our British darling.”

The Victoria’s Secret Angels are some of the world’s most beautiful women, so it’s no suprise that when they’re not donning their wings, they can often be spotted on the pages of British Vogue.

Gisele Pregnant?

Is Gisele Bundchen expecting her second baby? Rumours, which started at the Met Ball and have intensified today, suggest that she may be two-months pregnant and shared the happy news with friends at the fashion gala earlier this month.

Brazilian newspaper Epoca reports today that the supermodel informed Riccardo Tisci of her condition ahead of the Met Ball, in order that her bespoke Givenchy dress could accommodate her changing figure.

Although her spokesperson has not yet commented, the supermodel never officially confirmed her first pregnancy with son Benjamin in 2009 either.

Models including Victoria’s Secret Angels Adriana Lima and Lily Aldridge are currently expecting, whilst Vogue cover girl Sasha Pivovarova and Alessandra Ambrosio both recently gave birth.

She refuses to shave, hands up campaign …

An Irish journalist has opened the can of worms to start a campaign to claim that women do not have to cut their hair if they want.

Why pluck their women? Do they do it by choice or imposition? Is it a matter of hygiene or a standard set by society? If the latter, Can it be considered a macho requirement? And if they do only for hygiene, why men do not shave? All these questions has made the Irish journalist Emer O’Toole, tired of waxing since age 13.

And found the answer: the hair of women is a social convention to be tax free. Outside razors! Above those armpits! His crusade began in the blog he writes in the British newspaper The Guardian, has become a social phenomenon after it appeared in a morning British broadcaster ITV boasting take months or unshaven armpits and legs.

Aware that a picture is worth a thousand words, O’Toole has obtained, with that simple gesture, the speaker hoped to launch his campaign: Why do they have to keep plucking women? The journalist has proposed to remain 18 months without cutting his hair and, only thereafter, decide, no one is imposed, if you prefer to shave or not.

According to journalist’s own account, his boldness has helped him to compile a collection of dirty looks and gestures of dissent in all public places that has come from the London Underground to the restaurants. Is it that they look not like men? Here comes one of the surprises of their research: they were more women who have shown their disapproval than men.

O’Toole’s challenge is to convince women that shave or should not be an election like putting on makeup, and that those who chose not to do so should not be victims of bullying, contempt or even laugh.¿Convince women?

 

Dogs, water, camera and action!

What happens when you give a photographer a dog, a ball, and an underwater camera? The cutest thing ever seen!

Pet and lifestyle photographer Seth Casteel’s series, “Underwater Dogs” is popping up everywhere. The photos posted to Facebook have earned a whopping 95,260 “likes” and have been shared almost 13,000 times.

I saw this pictures and I had the need to show you all of them, but there are many pictures and then I will to show you some of them.

5 things you didn’t know about the Twilight Saga

While we patiently wait for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2” to hit theaters this fall, we can satisfy our “Twilight” fix with the MTV Movie Awards on June 3, 2012.
The latest Twilight flick is nominated for the top award of “Movie of the Year” and everyone’s favorite category “Best Kiss.”
1.  The famous honeymoon scene was partially shot on a busy street in Rio de Janeiro, but since “Twilight” fans packed onto the street to get a sneak peek of the film’s stars, the production paid individuals $30-300 bucks to stay home and not look out their windows overlooking the shooting location.
2.  The wedding dress that Kristen Stewart wore in the flick has been nearly identically replicated by wedding dress designer Alfred Angelo for his “Twilight Bridal” collection. You can buy the dress online for $799.00. A woman in England was the first person to wear the gown and actually had her last name legally changed to “Cullen” – Bella and Edward’s last name in the flick.
3.  In North America, the film had the second best opening weekend of 2011 just behind “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.”  Fun Fact: 80% of “Twilight” movie-goers were female. The other 20% are the boyfriends who got dragged into going and men who wandered into the wrong theater.
4.  During the honeymoon scene, Robert Pattinson is supposed to be an expert at driving a boat while in Rio de Janeiro. He took boat driving lessons before shooting began, but despite this, he still crashed the boat several times during filming.
5. During the wedding scene, the books author Stephenie Meyer makes a cameo as one of the wedding guests. Other “guests” at the wedding include two of the producers and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg.

 

Beyonce on Tumblr

By now we all know Beyonce and Jay-Z certainly aren’t going to sell out, but just in case we needed a little added reminder, Beyonce has released a number of very personal photos on her Tumblr page, a bit out of character the normally very private superstar.

Following the birth of Blue Ivy in early January, the world waited with bated breath for the first photos of one of the world’s most famous babies. There was much speculation as to where Jay-Z and his bride would choose to introduce the world to their tiny tot and to the surprise of many, late on a Friday night in February, Jay-Z took matters into his own hands.  The hip hop star shared the sought-after photos of his brand new family on his website, Life and Times.

Wednesday was Beyonce and Jay-Z’s fourth wedding anniversary and it looks like the the pair has opened up since the birth of Blue Ivy. Global Grind first reported the news that Beyonce was set to release over 150 photos as a celebration of their nearly 10-year relationship, and indeed she did.

The Tumblr, beyonce.tumblr.com, shows photos from their honeymoon, their performances together, their family and some very candid shots of Beyonce through the years. With the photos Beyonce shared this with her fans, “I Am: This is my life, today, over the years – through my eyes. My family, my travels, my love. This is where I share with you, This will continue to grow as I do. Love, Beyonce.”

2012 World’s Most Beautiful Woman

Singer. Songwriter. Actress. Superstar. Mom. These are the words that describe one of the most famous women on the planet. And now, People Magazine’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman 2012.
This marks the 9th time that 30-year-old Beyoncé has made the list, which also includes two “Most Beautiful Woman” Hall of Famers: Academy Award winners Julia Roberts, who’s made it on People’s coveted list 13 times, and Nicole Kidman, who’s appeared 10 times.
Beyoncé, a 16-time Grammy winner, first rose to fame as the lead singer of the R&B vocal group Destiny’s Child in the late 1990’s. She went on to become one of the biggest solo artists, and got married in 2008 to hip-hop mogul Jay-Z.
In January, Beyoncé took on what she considers her most important role when she gave birth in New York City to her and Jay-Z’s first child, Blue Ivy Carter.

“I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,” she tells People. “I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.”
While getting ready to perform over Memorial Day weekend at the Revel Atlantic City, her first concert since giving birth, the superstar mom revealed to People, “The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy. The word ‘love’ means something completely different now.”

Brad Pitt Talks Engagement, Wedding Date While Promoting ‘Killing Them Softly’

 

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s engagement could be a long one! A month after the actor slipped a custom-designed diamond ring on his lady love’s finger, he says they aren’t rushing to the altar.

“We actually really, truly have no date,” Pitt, who is promoting his new gangster flick “Killing Them Softly,” said at a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday. And they’re not abandoning their previous position that they would like same-sex marriage to be legalized before they take the plunge. “We’re still hoping that we can figure out marriage equality in the states before that date.”

 As for why, after seven years and six kids together, they decided to get engaged, Pitt said it was all about the timing. “It’s just something that makes sense to us,” he noted.

Pitt, who was casually dressed for the event in a grey suit and white T-shirt and sported a goatee, said he’s flying solo at Cannes this year because Jolie, who is getting ready to shoot “Maleficent,” is too busy to attend. “She’s actually not here right now,” he said. “She’s prepping for a movie she starts very soon.”

But she was a frequent topic of conversation. Pitt was also asked if he and Jolie, who fell in love on the set of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” when he was still married to Jennifer Aniston, would costar in another movie. He replied: “Yeah, we’d love to.” Although it was rumored that collaboration would take place in “The Counselor,” it now looks like Cameron Diaz will be playing the part instead.

In Pitt’s upcoming crime thriller “Killing Them Softly,” he plays Jackie Cogan, who is a professional enforcer called in to  investigate a heist that went down during a mob-protected poker game. Ray Liotta also stars and Andrew Dominik directs.

Angelina Jolie is back to making bad in ‘Sleeping Beauty’

 

Today it is fashionable in Hollywood to be the bad of the story. Up to threeblockbusters to be released between now and year end are adaptations of children’s stories-two of Snow White and other of Sleeping Beauty, with its heroesand villains. And who better to perform bad in the latter than Angelina Jolie?

The beautiful actress will perform in the character of Maleficent in a evil role that she accepted with great enthusiasm. “I hope that ultimately the viewer sees awoman who could be many things, and only because it protects and is aggressivedoesn’t mean it ceases to have other positive qualities,” explained the actress  to Entertainment Weekly.
The project, initially, was to be directed by Tim Burton but finally was chosen  thenovel Robert Stromberg who will be responsible for directing the new film thatexplores the origins of the witch Maleficent, one of the most famous Disney villians, and the reasons that lead to charm the princess Aurora.
